Applications are being accepted for appointment to the Auditor Selection Committee.

Prior to conducting the annual financial audit required by section 218.39 of the Florida Statutes,  the County must establish an Auditor Selection Committee within the requirements of section 218.391, Florida Statutes. The purpose of this Committee is to assist the governing body in selecting an auditor to conduct the annual financial audit.

The Auditor Selection Committee will require an initial training session (approximately 2 hours) and the evaluation of written proposals (approximately 4 hours). The committee is anticipated to meet in late February or early March 2023, but dates may change depending on availability of individual committee members.  Upon completion of vendor rankings and oral presentations (if applicable) resulting in a No. 1-ranked firm, the Purchasing & Risk Division will work with the managing department on the agreement negotiation process and subsequent award.  Once this process is completed, the Auditor Selection Committee may be dissolved.

Applications are due by 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2023. The application can be found at https://pinellas.gov/boards-councils-and-committees/.

Please Note: All materials submitted to Pinellas County government are subject to the public records law of the state of Florida.
