Pinellas County: Pinellas County Utilities to host career fair on March 30

Pinellas County issued the following announcement on March 25.

Job seekers will have an opportunity to learn about career options for entry-level and experienced workers at the Pinellas County Utilities Career Fair on March 30.

The event will be held from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Lealman Exchange community center, 5175 45th Street, St. Petersburg. Pinellas County Utilities hiring managers will be available to talk with job seekers about current and anticipated openings. Staff will be onsite providing computers and assistance with completing online applications. Candidates will also be able to discuss education and training with Pinellas Technical College representatives.

Pinellas County is currently recruiting for the following Utilities positions:

  • Electrical/Mechanical Technician
  • Maintenance Worker and Specialist 1, 2 and 3
  • Water/Wastewater Plant Operator 1 and Trainee
Entry-level positions that require no experience are available. All training will be provided.

Candidates who plan to apply for a position onsite will need the following information for their applications:

  • Employment history for the last 10 years
  • Past/current supervisor name and contact information
  • Certifications and education information
