City of St. Petersburg recently issued the following announcement.
Event Name: Carnivorous Plants Talk and Sale

Outdoor Amphitheater / Pre-registration Required
Learn carnivorous plant care and their history-presented by a vegetarian! Join Kenny Coogan, Education Director of the International Carnivorous Plant Society, as he shares the murderous qualities of these wicked plants! With over 650 species found globally, and several only found in Florida, it’s easy to find one that will grow for you.
Pre-registration required as space in our amphitheater is limited due to social distancing guidelines. Call 727-551-3102 to register. Class is free with Sunken Gardens’ admission or membership. The talk will be followed by a small carnivorous plant sale including, Nepenthes, Sarracenia, Drosera, Pinguicula and the infamous Venus Fly Trap. Cash or Credit Card accepted.
IMPORTANT PROTOCOL:
****Masks and physical distancing are required in the amphitheater during the talk and sale. Masks are not required while exploring the rest of the Gardens' outdoor areas. Talk attendees will have first choice of plants at the beginning of the sale. Five guests are allowed in the sale area at a time. After registering, please let us know if you are unable to attend so we can allow others to fill your spot. As this is a free talk, places will not be held for latecomers.
