Vacancy Announced on Pinellas County Historical Commission | Pinellas County
Applications are now being accepted to fill the remainder of a term expiring November 4, 2024. This is an individual appointment by Commissioner René Flowers, District 7.
The Pinellas County Historical Commission advises on matters pertaining to Heritage Village and prospective historical object, facilities, and records to be deisplayed at Heritage Village.
This board consists of nine members. Seven members are nominated by the individual members of the Board of County Commissioners and appointed jointly by the BCC. One member is appointed by the Junior League of Clearwater/Dunedin and one member is appointed by the Pinellas County Historical Commission. The seven members appointed by the BCC serve terms concurrent with that of their nominating commissioner (typically four years). The two members appointed by the Junior League and Historical Commission serve four-year terms starting upon the actual date of appointment.
