Pinellas County Government issued the following announcement on August 31.

Pinellas County Government offices to be closed for Labor Day

Pinellas County Government offices will be closed on Monday, Sept. 6, in observance of Labor Day. This includes departments under the Board of County Commissioners, Clerk’s Office, Tax Collector, Property Appraiser and Supervisor of Elections.

Parks & Conservation Resources

County parks and the outdoor areas of the County preserves will be open. The Parks & Conservation Resources administrative offices will be closed, as will Heritage Village, the Brooker Creek Environmental Education Center and the Weedon Island Cultural and Natural History Center. Beach and boat ramp parking permits can be purchased online. 

Human Services

Pinellas County Human Services office locations will be closed.

Building Services

Pinellas County Building Services office locations will be closed, and inspections will not be taking place.

Sixth Judicial Circuit courts

The courts of the Sixth Judicial Circuit (Pinellas and Pasco) will not be in session except for first-appearance advisory hearings and emergency situations.

Solid Waste Disposal Facility

The Solid Waste Disposal Facility will be open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday; however, the Solid Waste Administration Building and Household Electronics and Chemical Collection Center (HEC3) will be closed.

Animal Services shelter

The offices and adoption center at Pinellas County Animal Services will be closed.
