Former East Lake High School pitcher Nathan Norwood helped lead his college team, the Eckerd Tritons, to an 11-6 victory over the Lynn Fighting Knights in their NCAA Division II baseball game at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 14.
The matchup took place at Turley Athletic Complex, marking the teams’ third meeting this season. In their earlier contest on Saturday, March 14, the Tritons had a 15-7 loss to the Fighting Knights.
Norwood pitched 3.1 innings, giving up five earned runs, walking one batter, and striking out five.
The Eckerd Tritons are set to play their next game Tuesday, March 17, at 6 p.m. at Turley Athletic Complex, facing Purdue Northwest Pride.
