PINELLAS COUNTY – On Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at 4:00 p.m., the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit will be hosting the annual K-9 Memorial Service at Curlew Hills Memory Gardens Pet Cemetery, located at 1750 Curlew Road in Palm Harbor.

During the service, the K-9 Unit will be honoring retired canines that have passed away. There are over 60 dogs that are currently interred at the Memory Gardens. At this year’s memorial service, four Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office canines will be added to the memorial and remembered.

  • Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office canine “Chuck” survived by his handler, Captain Randy Corlett
  • Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office canine “Odin” survived by his handler, Sergeant Claudio Dimundo
  • Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office canine “Jager” survived by his handler, Corporal Paul Martin
  • Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office canine “Jak” survived by his handler, Deputy Steve Elrod

The Pinellas Park Police Department and the Clearwater Police Department will also be honoring several canines. The services will be attended by current and former K-9 handlers and their canine partners.

The service will be open to the public and media is invited to cover the service.
